May Tuesdays Double Points

Just added double May Tuesday points for 2014 to the BingR. Download the newest version (0.1.0.28) and replace your current exe to get the double points this month!

Thanks to Khord for pointing this out to me - I'd missed it since I have the BingR running overnight I never even see the new deals :)

  1. I have begun receiving a proxy server error as of today. It happened on the old version and the current version. Not coincidentally, I think, the Bing rewards page began actually showing you whether or not you earned your mobile search points. it used to give them to you, but there was no tracker.

I suspect they found a way to prevent the web browser being used to spoof a mobile device. Think you can figure this one out?

    1. I *might* be able to figure it out but I'm not seeing that error here so it'll be hard.

    2. I am getting the same error on all of the stations I use the program on. I think they figured something out. It's happening on Chrome for me. Should we try internet explorer instead?

  2. FYI, the Pogo Bing Bot that I use as a fill-in has a "mobile" version that isn't working anymore either. Those "mobile" searches now increase your PC search count. Microsoft definitely found a way to stop the spoofing.

    1. What if we used a user agent switcher through Google Chrome? I'll have to try it tonight and see if mobile searches count on PC. If so, would it be possible to write a script for BingR to use a specific user agent switcher instead of the current setup? It would be a pain to do mobile searches on all of my accounts manually. I guess I should turn off mobile searches on BingR until a solution is found.

    2. Keep me updated on your findings. I did try to work with agent switcher before I found the command line switches for Chrome but it was pretty cumbersome (because of the switcher interface being hard to script).

  3. There's a few agent switchers on Chrome Web Store. Is there anything that I should be looking for, regarding ease of use for scripting? My expertise is more in networking than coding, unfortunately.

  4. As far as scripting them into the bot, it may not work unless they have some command line arguments or quick keys. The BingR acts outside the browser (launches chrome etc. as a person would) vs. inside the browser (using Java et. al). It makes is much more human but a bit less able to manipulate the browser effectively.

It's funny you mention your expertise - I'm a network admin too. Botting is just something I picked up to do when I'm bored.

    1. I know it took me a while to do this, but the user agent switchers I've used from the Chrome Web Store do indeed still credit mobile searches. In particular, the "User-Agent Switcher from toolshack" worked in both standard and incognito modes (you do have to check the box in the extensions menu for it to work on incognito mode).

I don't see any way in the settings to allow pages to load directly in one of the switched modes, though. Is there any way around this, or any way at all to incorporate it into the BingR process?

  5. Thanks for the May double points addition

Anyone else getting captchas? I just noticed them today, looks like the end may be near as they are cracking down on everything :/ After I entered one captcha I think it ran fine, but may mean the death of complete automation.

Is there perhaps a way to make it more human like? Maybe instead of a random millisecond range, a random second range? Like a 5-15 second or configurable gap, like this http://www.pogocheats.net/bing-rewards-bot/

    1. All gaps are configurable. Please read the helpfile.

    2. Yes, I know they are configurable, but it is one single time, with random millisecond variance, as I believe you have said in the past.

I was trying to say that maybe there should be a random range of time instead of one time (an upper bound and lower bound). Like a range of 7-10 seconds would result in 7, 8, 9, or 10 seconds being chosen randomly for the gap between searches.

Although the captchas dont seem to appear for me anymore.

  6. Hi,

I love BingR but it seems to do the first 2-4 accounts and just stop. It leaves me on the dashboard for the account it leaves off on. I have 10 accounts, just by the way.

Any reason it would do this?

  7. I've been working with the mobile searches thing, and I think I have a possible solution. It might take a little extra effort to set up, but I think it can work.

The user agent switchers in Chrome, as I've posted before, still work in creating mobile searches on a PC. The one I've worked with the most, called User Agent Switcher by toolshack in the Chrome webstore, will retain the status that it was last set at in Chrome.

Up until today, I've been using it in conjunction with your BingR checker to get my points. I've set the user agent switcher to iphone mode, run the checker, and use the pogocheats site on each account to run the mobile searches. But yesterday, I forgot to switch the user agent back to default, and this morning, when the BingR program ran, it started accruing mobile searches for my accounts.

    And then it hit me.

Even if you can't find a way to script the user agent switcher directly into the BingR, it can still be manually configured to work. The bingR program can be scheduled to run twice: once for the PC searches, and again for the mobile.

Chrome allows you to create profiles for different users. Those different profiles can be accessed by a shortcut that Chrome will create for you, placed on the desktop. If one were to create two user profiles, one of those profiles can be set up with the user agent switcher, and the other without it. You would need to give permission for the user agent switcher to run in incognito mode, but this can be easily done in Chrome's extensions settings.

So now, the question is - can BingR be configured to redirect from one Chrome profile to another? If so, it's possible that you wouldn't need to run the BingR twice to get all of the searches.

If not, would it be as easy as substituting the automatically-generated chrome shortcut that bingR creates with the user agent switcher profile shortcut, or is it not that simple? This way, both PC and mobile searches can be obtained by setting up BingR in two different folders on your PC, then telling task scheduler to run each of them at different times.
