Instructions & FAQ

This program is free to use but if you really like it and it's making Bing points RAIN it would be cool if you could hook me up! I'd love to get some cash or some codes from ya!!!

If direct donation isn't in the cards, please use this link to go to Amazon and buy yourself something nice!

Follow me on twitter so you know when I update the program @Baconismidog

What does this thing do?

In short, it acts just like a person would. It launches browsers, logs into accounts, does searches - all from the desktop interface just like a real person. It'll randomize your word list, the inter-search times and inter-accout times. You can schedule it to run when you're away from the computer so your credits just show up automagically. There is another program called the Chckr that'll roll you through your accounts so you can check them out too. The BingR will write your progress to a text file called "PointsPerAccount.txt" so you can watch them climb over time. It'll also frickin email you when an account crests a threshold (one you set) so you know to get in there and redeem your Amazon code!!!

Probably why you're here...

Explanation of the settings.ini file   (launches new page cause it's pretty detailed)

Other stuff to know:

Wordlist

  • The program will choose a random word (with replacement) from your list every time it searches.
    • You can provide your own wordlist (good idea if you're worried about a ban)
    • You can use my million line wordlist of pretty random crap.

Hotkeys:

Note that sometime the hotkeys need a few pushes. Example: If you want to end the program, hit End like 2-4 times and it'll kill it.
  • Pause/Break - Pauses or unpauses the program
  • The Media Key Play/Pause also pauses the program. Useful on laptops w/o the pause key.
  • End - Ends the program.
  • Home - Opens the .ini file so you can view/edit it.
  • Control ` (control and left tick) - This key combo will stop the 'all done' dinging
  • F1 - This key will launch this page (the help page)
  • Page Down (Page Dn) - this dismisses the Use Chckr splash screen at the end and launches into the Chckr.

How to add a task so this will run on a schedule

  • Now, if you want this to run daily, you should just schedule it to run using the built-in windows task scheduler. Follow these instructions from Microsoft. Set it to run daily when you're away from your computer, only when user is logged on, with highest permissions. I like to use the advanced setting (Click Triggers/Edit) that starts it at a random time around the time you set  by ~30 minutes. Makes it seem more organic. Also, consider when you set the time for it to run - running it at 2am might guarantee that it won't interfere with whatever you're doing but running a gillion searches at 2 am might seem pretty unlikely to the watchdogs at Bing. Please note that scheduling isn't working on a locked workstation as of 2/1/2014. I'm looking at fixes for that.

Downloading and Running issues (this may not be an issue for you now that the BingR is getting more widely used)

Chrome and Windows are set to protect you from things that could be dangerous. Since this exe is pretty much unknown, you're going to have to jump through some hoops to use it.
When downloading in chrome (on right), you'll need to right click the download and choose keep.

When launching on Windows 8 (maybe 7 too) you'll need to right click the program, choose properties and choose 'Unblock'.

General Q & A

  • If you're seeing strange behavior, check in your task manager for any running instances of BingR or ChckR. Launching multiple instances of BingR makes a mess.
  • I'm using Internet Explorer
    • BingR gets to the Microsoft Account page, waits for like 10 seconds and then logs out and logs back in! It's pissin me off!
      • This is because you're using a version of I.E. that is not 10 or 11. Get with the times, you frickin dinosaur! Either that or you can install Chrome like the rest of the Internet.
  • My antivirus says you're trying to steal all my precious dirty pictures and stuff!
    • Yeah, I'm not. I used AutoIt to write this and it's a pretty easy language that douchecanoe hackers use to do nasty things to people. You can read the program code if you don't believe me. Also, check the avtotals for the files above.
  • How much money is this silliness going to make me?
    • About the most you can make is 900 points a month PER ACCOUNT. That's ~9 bucks at Amazon.com or 2 free months of Hulu (~$540 a year for 5 accounts).
  • What is 'stand-alone'
    • It means the program doesn't install. It doesn't smatter your computer with reg keys and other nefarious little tidbits. You just download it and run it from wherever you want.
  • Do you have to use so many curse words?

  1. Is there a way to make it so it doesn't keep opening a new tab or bringing the window to the front so that i can do things whilst it is running?

  3. I'm getting an error logging into Microsoft now, it's saying i have to verify the account by having them call my Phone number, I can still log onto Bing normally and get my points manually, but through the microsoft login it won't work with BingR because of that notice

    1. Well, if they're asking you to verify your account that means your account has been blocked. It's not banned, but it is blocked. When I get that message on a worker account I just throw it away. If it's your real account you'll want to have them call you and verify it.

  5. I have it set up to run 5 accounts. It's been doing those perfectly, however, after it finishes up with the 5th account it keeps trying to sign in with a blank username and password. Not sure if I messed something up in the settings somehow? Any idea how I can make it stop doing that?

    2. Nope :( I do have mobile set to 1 though, and I have noticed I don't get the extra 10 points for that at all. Maybe it's something to do with that? Maybe I'll try putting it on 0 and see how that works out.

    3. Hey Amanda. That is very strange. That is probably the mobile search running but I don't know why it's not sending the account credentials for mobile (they're the same as for regular). Do you have the latest version of the software? Maybe try downloading a fresh copy of the software, drop it in a new folder and run it from there.

  7. I've seen the runtime error but I don't remember why it happens. I could make the app catch that error page. Also, if you want to do the final you can just move it up in the ini file.

That said, I'll look into setting up a single run type scenario or something like that.

  9. I'm back with another question. :)

I want to set this up to run shortly after I go to bed each night, but I'm use a laptop. Does a "locked workstation" mean I can't use it if I shut the lid of my laptop? When I close the lid, nothing happens... it doesn't log me out of anything or lock my screen at all. Will it still work if I have everything like that turned off?

I've noticed that the program itself runs fine if I start it and then shut the lid and walk away, but not sure how it would work if I set it up to randomly start by itself in the middle of the night.

Thanks for the great program, by the way. All of the Bing bots that run through a website randomly stop crediting me for searches after a couple of days but I haven't had that issue at all with BingR. :)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes, it should work just fine for you. If your laptop doesn't lock the screen when the lid is shut then it's not 'locked'. It is, in almost all cases with a laptop, in some sleep state when you close the lid. What you'll want to do is set the Scheduled Task up to 'wake computer to run this task'. The example in the downloads has that set.

  11. this is question about user agent string - the one you use, --user-agent="Mxxxilla/x.0 (ixxxU; CPU like xxxxppleWebKit/420+ (KxxL, like Gxxo) Version/3.0 Mobile/1A543 Saxxi/419.3" --incognito "http://login.live.com"

I was wondering how I would be able to change to use IE 6 -
    Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC1)

I know this question not 100% related to your program, but I wanted to be able to create shortcut link like your Chrome links but with the above IE 6 user agent string because I need to for my browser to work thank you

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The user string I found in google somewhere and I can't remember where I found it. That said, you can find multiple user strings in databases all over the internet. If you want to change a user string, just put whatever you want between the quotes after --user-agent and put wherever you want to visit in the quotes after the --incognito. Note, this won't work for my program because the BingR makes those links dynamically so any changes you make to one would be overwritten everytime the program runs.

  12. I have a question about the Bing Chckr application. In the instructions it says to "hit the Pause button OR the Media Play/Pause button and it'll log you into the next account.". I assume this is talking about a keyboard with media buttons on it? Are there any alternative keys that can be used to pause and unpause the application as I don't have a keyboard with media buttons on it.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah, It is referring to the media keys. If you don't have those, you can also use the Pause button (it's usually around the ScrLk, PrtScn, PgUp, Home buttons).

  13. Any way to make the searches run faster? I stopped using this bcs it takes 19 min to run 5 accts - running an i7 w/16gb Ram on 1TB ssd - I run 25 my other way in the same amt of time - LMK please please please

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The fastest it's going to run is ~ 1 second a search. You can get this speed by making the search speed 800ms and making the number of searches only the number you need. Most people only need 30 searches to get their 15 points (I make min 32 just in case a few are missed). My 5 accounts take about 4-5 minutes each that's including the 20 mobile searches. All that said, the BingR is trying to look human - its not trying to be the fastest. In my opinion the bots that run through 50-100 searches in a few seconds are risky.

  14. where is the settings.ini file located?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Did you try to use IE instead of chrome? If so, another thing to try it to make a directory on the root of C: drive and run the BingR from there.

      Delete
    2. Yes I tired IE but I want mobile rewards. So you are sayingto put Bingr directly on C instead of C:....

      Delete
    3. Yeah, try that. First make sure you have the latest version. I've not seen this happen repeatedly. Once in a blue moon it'll happen but it's only been because the computer was painfully slow and the internet was buggy. You should also try toggling the SlowComputer setting in the settings.ini file.

      Delete
    4. Ok I moved the BINGR to C:Bingr and it ran all my web searches and got my daily offers no problem. I got same error though when it switched over to do the mobile searches. I manually restarted the mobile searches and its running fine now. I do not know what you consider a slow/ fast pc. Mine is not that slow but it is not a core i3/i5.

      Delete
    5. Very strange. If it logs in correctly once it should login correctly when it rolls back through the mobile searches since it's using the same information. It only reads the settings.ini file at launch, so the information is literally exactly the same. Try the slow setting, it may be that you machine needs a bit more time to pass the login correctly. Could be a browser add-on that is slowing down the page loading as well. You could always go through your addon settings in Chrome and turn off what you're not using (when I did that I was pretty surprised at all the crap I'd installed).

  16. Another question is what happens when you have multiple accounts with a mixture of silver and gold accounts? Do you make 2 of the settings file inside one ini file and make some set with silver and other with gold

    ReplyDelete
  17. Just run them with the highest number of searches. Over-running searches on a silver doesn't hurt anything but under-running searches on a gold can cause you to miss out on some points.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I was more thinking about the email notification sorry for the confusion. When accounts hit gold they only need 475 for gift card and need 525 for silver. Is there a way to have the gold and silver accounts separate in the ini file

      Delete
    2. Truthfully, I'm going to have to alter the way I send the email. I was using gmail but they put a block on the account since it was 'sending' from so many different IP addresses.

That said, once I get it back up and running on a different system I won't do anything to change the notifications. I'd leave it at 500, that way you've only overdone gold by 2 days and you're perfect for a silver :)

    1. All the BingR does is call an incognito instance of chrome.exe with the -- user-agent variable. Thus, you only need to close all instances of chrome.exe to revert the string. In truth all you need to do is close all instances of incognito chrome but it'll never hurt to kill all Chrome instances to be sure.

The issue you may be seeing if you have closed chrome but are still seeing the user-agent is a Chrome issue (not BingR). The issue is that sometimes Chrome won't close all the chrome.exe processes even though it closes the Chrome GUI. You can remedy this by looking in the task manager; you'll see that there are actually still chrome.exe live and those are holding the incognito session that is orphaned; launching any new incognito sessions are captured by that orphan and are launched with the mobile string.

In the future you probably don't need to force close BingR. You can just use the "End" key to kill it. The "End" key actually passes a kill command to the BingR.exe process (much like an 'end task' from the task manager).

Also, Salmaan, please don't spam the blog. Asking a question once is sufficient, asking it 3 times on 3 different posts doesn't help anyone.

  19. Wonder what you consider a slow-fast PC. I'm about to go to Microcenter maybe to upgrade my CPU. I an using this CPU now.http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Celeron+E3400+%40+2.60GHz

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I wouldn't recommend that you upgrade your CPU for the BingR man. The BingR is the most 'human' bot and as such, it actually launches a bunch of tabs, fires up browsers, etc. That takes a lot of horsepower. There are other solutions out there that are, in my opinion, less safe than the BingR but take a lot less computing power. I'd probably take a risk on one of those before I'd upgrade my CPU.

The guy who wrote it is a total dick, but bing-pong is very low-impact. It hits Bing with 50 or 100 searches in a few seconds (which I think is risky) but it doesn't take any more power than simply running a webpage for a minute or two. Might get you caught but you'd only be out a free Bing account. If you go buy a new CPU you're guaranteed to be out however much that cost you.

      Delete
    2. I bought a new CORE I3-4340 and mobo. I could use the upgrade in my desktop anyway. It seemed to run fine last night. But Tomorrow will be a challenge with double point, extra offer, and mobile.

  20. It would be amazing if at the end of the run it didn't kill chrome entirely, because I have other scripts that use chrome that run during the day as well as tabs I like to keep open and pinned all the time. Would it be possible to add an option to not kill chrome at the end of the run, but just close the window bingr opens?

    Thanks

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The kill is necessary because of the mobile user string. If you don't kill chrome.exe it'll hold that mobile string and all your browsing will be from a 'mobile' device which is pretty annoying.

  21. I still see BingR doesn't log into accounts that have been temp blocked, any way around this? These accounts still get points, they just can't be used w/your program the way it's set up

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If it's temp blocked you can't redeem it until you verify it. If you verify it, then the temp block will be lifted and BingR will work.

Why do you want to waste time getting points on an account you can't redeem?

  26. Hey, I noticed that the program can't log me into some of my email because it types v instead of my email. and when it gets the email right, it would type a letter then my password. (I'm guessing its a v again). So the program continues to try to log in three more times then moves on to the next account. Is there a way to fix this?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That 'v' is a broken ctrl+v that is failing to be sent correctly. Happens when the machine is bogged down or when the internet is slow. I've been getting some reports that it may actually be the newest version of chrome that's slowing stuff down. Either way, a good fix is to toggle the 'slow computer' setting to on in the settings.ini file. Also, a reboot of your computer and router can't hurt either :)

  27. Forgive me if this question has been asked before, but my BingR does not perform any of the mobile searches. 28. Hey, a few days ago I noticed I wasn't getting credited for any web searches. I read somewhere that switching to image searches would fix that. So I've been manually switching to image searches while the bot was running and it was giving me credit only for the image searches. I am having trouble getting the mobile searches to automate. I was watching the program work and it seems that it tabs into a mobile face book 'ad' which recommends getting facebook for iphone. I also don't own a smart phone, but get those points using an iphone emulator for my browser, but I can't find an Edge emulator.(I did find a program that makes IE LOOK like Edge, but it isn't a true emulator and doesn't fool Bing) So, my questions is... does your program have a work around to get the Edge points without Edge/Win 10? thanks.

  57. Microsoft just updated their login page, and the username and password are now on different pages, so the script, in its current form, no longer works. Just a heads up.
